This piece by Yoichi Ochiai explores the concept of "object-oriented" thinking within the realm of "Digital Nature." The Object-Oriented Bodhisattva serves as a unique artistic representation of the fusion between the digital world and the natural world, providing a fresh perspective on understanding the entirety of nature and life. Designed to complement the central figure of the Dainichi Nyorai in the mandala, the Object-Oriented Bodhisattva represents an existence that defines and functions through the object-oriented approach, connecting the material and immaterial worlds.

The spherical object on the head of the Bodhisattva is inspired by the Mani wheel and represents a structurally organized being based on object-oriented principles. The Object-Oriented Bodhisattva transcends diverse calculation methods and existence, bringing harmony by bridging the gap between the material and immaterial worlds. In the context of Digital Nature, the Object-Oriented Bodhisattva plays a role in spreading the wisdom and compassion of computational nature, opening people's hearts and minds.

Born from textual data prompts, this piece went through a transformation from 2D to 3D before being sculpted by a CNC machine from Karimoku Furniture. The final wood carving was masterfully crafted by Ito, a skilled artisan from Hida.
