この作品は高山の技巧性の高い木工作家とのコラボレーションによって製作されました。原型はカリモク家具株式会社の支援によって作家の製作する3Dデータから木材の削り出しを行いました。この作品は、銀口魚（アユ）が三次元的な波の形に変換されていく過程を表現しています。アユは川の藻を食べ、川によって味が異なる生き物として描かれています。
作品は、日本の古典や神話と深く関連しています。例えば、神功皇后が戦果を占うために川に投げ入れた釣り針で釣った魚がアユだとされています。また、素戔嗚譚に登場する稲田姫の両親であるテナヅチ・アシナヅチが関連しています。本作品は、木彫のモチーフとしてアユ、神話、鏡、デジタルの輪廻転生の文脈を編む旅から生まれました。3Dデータからの削り出しと木工作家伊藤さんの技巧性が融合し、波と生き物の中間の物質として質量ある自然に揺蕩っています。
These artworks explore the cycle of transmutation between the digital and physical realms. An intricately carved wooden sculpture of a sweetfish, crafted by a skilled artisan, undergoes multiple transformations. The sculpture is first created by carving it out of a 3D-printed model using a machine. The physical sculpture is then re-digitized by 3D scanning, allowing for another instance of machine-carving before being coated with a mirror-like finish. Throughout this process, the echoes of the craftsman's touch intertwine with the materiality of the object, resulting in a piece that embodies the dynamic interplay between digital and physical forms.
