ナギは沖縄の古語で虹のこと．虹の虫偏は元々蛇を表す象形文字，蛇が空をつらぬいて虹になる．蛇を表すナギが鰻のモチーフだったらと関連性を探ってるうちに夜の虹に生まれ変わった．レーザーと組み合わせて夜の空間を作り出す．初出は実は2019年のはずだったが延期されてなくなってしまった展示があった．2021年に環世界の遠近法展で久々にレーザーを用いた展示をしたが5年ぶりにリバイバル．RGBレーザーの揺らぎからいろんなナギを感じてほしい．
Nagi is an old Okinawan word for rainbow. The insect radical in the character for rainbow originally represented a snake; a snake piercing the sky becomes a rainbow. While exploring the connection if the nagi representing a snake was an eel motif, it was reborn as a night rainbow. Combined with lasers to create a night space. It was actually supposed to debut in 2019, but the exhibition was postponed and cancelled. In 2021, I used lasers in an exhibition for the first time in 5 years at the "Umwelt Perspective" exhibition. I hope you can feel various nagi from the fluctuations of the RGB lasers.
