積極的に自らの行動によって得る喜びを求める「逆たかり行動(contrafreeloading)」をさらに反転させ,自発性を捨て去り,受動性の極みに至った猫の姿を描いている.ライカが写し出す陰影鏡(印影鏡)は,実体を捉えることなく影だけをとどめる装置であり,その虚ろな質量に,猫は自らを溶け込ませている.ダダイズムが意味や論理を解体しようとしたように,この猫もまた,積極性と消極性,存在と不在,輪郭と影を行き来しながら,見る者に意味のない問いを静かに投げかける.影の中で,猫はただ静止し,世界の境界を静かに超えている.
This artwork portrays a cat embodying an inverted form of "contrafreeloading," forsaking active pursuit to reach an ultimate state of passivity. The shadow-imprinting mirror captured by the Leica is a device preserving only shadows, never the tangible reality itself. Into this hollow mass of shadows, the cat quietly dissolves its existence. As Dadaism once sought to dismantle meaning and logic, so does this cat quietly oscillate between activity and passivity, presence and absence, outlines and shadows, gently posing meaningless questions to the observer. Within these shadows, the cat remains motionless, subtly transcending the boundaries of the world.
