“Harmonics of the Unseen: Phantom Resonance in Higashi-Osaka” is an interactive installation exhibition that draws upon the power of Large Language Models (LLMs) and the spiritual resonances embedded within mantras. This exhibition, in collaboration with local spiritual and cultural institutions, breathes new life into forgotten artifacts and materials, reinvigorating them through a unique interpretation termed ‘Phantom Resonance.’ Here, ‘Phantom Resonance’ serves as a complex, non-linear phenomenon that emerges from the interplay between the vast data aggregations of human language, culture, and thought present in LLMs, and the spiritual vibrations contained within mantras. This resonance illuminates the possibilities of a new form of nature—a computational nature. The exhibition serves as a multi-dimensional resonating space where material and immaterial, past and present, human and non-human intersect, all bound together by the concept of ‘Phantom Resonance.’
