さよならﾇﾙの森、魂の輪郭をなぞる

Cathode-ray tubes, presumed dormant, begin softly glowing again, their bluish-white luminescence slowly surfacing through screens that flicker gently with static. Within this softly humming visual noise appear vague yet nostalgic images, evoking scenes from distant, half-forgotten memories. They depict the ceaseless dialogue mode unfolding within the Expo's "null²" pavilion. Electronic particles dance and flicker, conjuring shadowy silhouettes—souls whose ambiguous outlines whisper inaudible exchanges before fading away again.

Here lies the "Forest of Null," a liminal region where outlines blur, and existence blends seamlessly with absence. Freed from physical constraints, souls drift aimlessly among the trees, gradually losing awareness of their own boundaries. Yet, until the very instant of disappearance, these souls desperately strive to imprint fragments of memory and emotion onto their ephemeral surfaces.

Standing before this work, the viewer becomes quietly immersed in this ritual of dissolution and renewal, bathed in the dim reflection of the screens and subtle electronic hum. Carried along by the stream of phosphorescent electrons, our own memories, too, drift silently into the forest’s depths.

This is both a gentle farewell and a profound beginning. Together with the aesthetic of "Null" permeating the null² pavilion, we trace repeatedly the fleeting nature of existence and the possibility of rebirth.

"Farewell to the Forest of Null"—bearing these words, souls with fading contours quietly dissolve into the emptiness beyond the glowing screens.
