An image of a shattered LCD displayed on a fully functioning LED panel—the very medium of vision self-referentially reveals itself as a metaphor for a world dissolving into symbols. In contemporary society, our reality increasingly detaches from physical existence, drawn instead into endless loops of symbolic circulation. By intentionally employing the motif of breakage, this work visualizes the recursive induction of reality into symbols, thereby exposing the inherent fragility and ephemerality embedded within meaning, information, and visual representation itself. Standing before this piece, viewers find themselves at the far end of an infinite chain of symbols, prompting renewed questioning of the boundaries between physicality and symbolic abstraction.
